Meeting recorder
A private meeting recorder for clearer notes.
Record in your browser, transcribe locally, and turn the important parts into notes you can use.
In short: Meeting Recorder lets you record microphone or browser audio, upload MP3, WAV, M4A, or MP4 files, transcribe with Whisper in your browser, and turn the transcript into a summary, decisions, and action items. Export Markdown, TXT, JSON, or PDF. Audio stays on this device unless you request an AI summary; the tool never auto-joins meetings or reads your accounts.

- 02 — Transcribe and review

Frequently asked questions
Does Meeting Recorder upload my files?
No. Local Whisper transcription keeps audio in this browser. If you request AI summary, only transcript text is sent to the configured summary provider.
Does it automatically join Zoom or Google Meet?
No. Meeting Recorder never auto-joins meetings, sends messages, or reads Zoom, Google, calendar, or other user accounts.
What microphone permission is needed?
The browser asks for microphone permission only after you start microphone recording. Browser-audio capture may also ask you to choose a tab, window, or screen and share its audio.
How are files deleted?
Recordings and processed notes stay in the current browser session or local history until you clear them. Exported files are controlled by your device downloads.
What can I export?
The current workflow supports Markdown, TXT, JSON, and print-ready PDF output.
Record when you choose
Meeting Recorder uses your browser microphone only after you start recording. It does not automatically join Zoom or Google Meet, send messages, or read your accounts.
Keep audio local
Audio stays on this device while Whisper creates a timestamped transcript in the browser. If you choose an AI summary, only the transcript text is sent to the summary provider.
Leave with a usable record
Review the summary, decisions, action items, and transcript. Export Markdown, TXT, or PDF when you are ready to share the result.
